PreSales Systems Engineer

Position: PreSales Systems Engineer

Territory: Ontario, Canada.

The PreSales Systems Engineer's focus will be to support the sales organization. You will be assisting with qualifying sales opportunities from a technical view.  As the technical expert you will answer and educate customers on the technical merit of features, specifications, functionality and integration.

• Strong presentation skills, troubleshooting skills and solution development, ideally experienced with APIs, Orchestration, Automation, and Scripting.
• With post-sales you continuously develop and build additional trust and value as the identified technical contact and may be a conduit between the customer and the OEM as required.
• You will be working and collaborating closely with the customer technical team to answer, elevate and as necessary resolve customer's technical issues.

• Fortinet NSE 4 – 7, NSE8 desirable.
• Ideally knowledgably with NetScout, Zscaler and A10 Networks
• Must be fully conversant with a deep level of experience with Fortinet (NSE4,5,7)
• Must have experience and demonstrated working with customers to understand their technical challenges and requirements and to have effectively proposed desired solutions.
• Must have a good understanding of the sales process and the roles and responsibilities of a sales engineer
• Proven pre-sales record of success and achievement for themselves and their team.
• 5+ years experience with cybersecurity in a technical/pre-sales function supporting sales and customers as a systems engineer
• 4+ years experience with Public Sector, Fed Gov and Commercial.
• Experience responding to or creating RFI or RFPs.  Experience in having conducted or participated in security audits a plus.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organization, time management skills and multi-tasking skills.
• 4+ years of Layer 4-7 switching experience and expertise
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2-3 switching/routing
• Strong technical presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and maintain a positive attitude
• CISSP or other security certifications are a plus!
• Ability to travel when required

Certifications Required:

• Fortinet NSE 4 – 7, NSE8 desirable.
• Ideally knowledgably with NetScout, Zscaler and A10 Networks
